At some point, everyone realises that life is full of surprises, and we try to control things as much as possible, but we forget that our life is full of paradoxes.

Sometimes we go through major life events that push us to rethink our lives. Although events such as illness, divorce, the loss of someone dear to us, and the loss of a job or a business are really painful, they can be a major catalyst for change in our lives.

Yes, we are the masters of our own destiny, but we can’t control everything.

It’s in these moments that we may question everything we thought we knew, everything we thought we wanted.

We live in a world where too many of us have given up the ability to slow down, go deep and pay attention to what is really happening in our lives. Often what we wanted in the past is not what we want now. We have grown, learned a lot, and developed ourselves further, to the point that our original vision is outdated.

The external pressure from friends, colleagues, family members, corporations, and social media to have everything figured out is overwhelming and can leave us feeling inadequate (even if we have a very successful career), lazy and sometimes even crazy.

You are not lazy. You are not crazy.

It is difficult to figure out what you want when you’re feeling buried under other people’s expectations. It creates confusion, and your confidence keeps getting knocked down.

While the mainstream message is to jump into action and be busy, my invitation to you is to Slow Down Now so your next move can be more powerful and on purpose!

Only by being true to yourself can you maintain integrity, connect to your own power, and find the fulfilment you are inwardly seeking.
